Specialties: Diagnostic Evaluation for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Early Identification and Intervention for Children with ASD, Applied Behavior Analysis

Dr. Claire Schutte, Psy.D, BCBA-D, grew up in Winter Park, Florida and went to college at The University of Florida. She then completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis at Florida Tech.

While in graduate school, Dr. Schutte became interested in psychological assessment, as well as working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders. For her doctorate degree, she completed a one-year internship that brought her to Austin, Texas.

Dr. Schutte interned at The Texas State University Counseling Center, where she provided counseling services for students. She also focused on support services for college students with Asperger’s Syndrome and autism, including leading a support group and educating faculty on the unique needs of these students.

In her free time, Dr. Schutte can be found exploring Austin. She is a big fan of outdoor activities, trying new restaurants, traveling, cooking, and jewelry making.
